Learn what drives us
The Black Literature Project's mission is to celebrate the works of Black British authors, advocate for equity in education, and provide culturally responsive teaching to all.
To create a society where every young person has equal access to quality education and the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the contributions of Black British authors.
Work with us to change the narrative inside and outside the classroom and to work towards a diverse and inclusive education
We provide LIT boxes that are boxes of books from British writers of colour
We provide virtual and in person consultation services to educators who are passionate about the implementation of EDI in their practice.
We provide specialised virtual talks to departments within schools, libraries and other communities.
The Black Literature Project is working to create specialised Black Literature workshops to deliver in and outside of school.
